Blurring The Lines | Integrating Our Efforts (2017)
The 30th Annual IPWEA NZ Conference – “Blurring the Lines – Integrating our Efforts” was hosted by Otago/Southland Branch.
The objective of 2017 theme was to throw the spotlight on how the industry can benefit from an integrated approach to the changes and challenges we are facing.
Our Conference Committee brought together a range of exciting national and international keynote speakers providing a wider perspective of the influences on the industry. They also took a closer look at some of the revolutionary developments that are expected to bring disruptive change to what infrastructure we provide and how we deliver it.
The extensive programme over three days of the conference, offered delegates a diverse number of educational presentations, keynote talks and poster papers on a wide range of topics. With a great mix of papers for you to choose from with streams carefully selected to cover these issues. Top quality technical papers complimented by a fascinating array of technical tours, with a unique local flavour that reflects our wider public works membership.
A key component was the opportunity to network with other attendees both at the technical and social level. This year we produced another great social programme that has become a feature of our conferences.
Evening dinners will be accompanied by entertainment and the Annual Excellence Awards. Service and product suppliers will be on hand to inform you on their latest developments, and you will have the time for relaxed discussion with them.
Dunedin City, and the Otago/Southland region were the perfect hosts.
